Hamilton Gardens Roundabout
“Hungerford Terrace is the main entrance to Hamilton Gardens, a major Hamilton attraction (Hamilton Gardens attract over 600,000 visitors and more than 1,000 events are held there every year). The entrance is at a cross-roads intersection with State Highway One (Cobham Drive) and Galloway Street. Cobham Drive carries in excess of 28,000 vehicles per day and has two traffic lanes in each direction, with an 80 kph speed limit. Access to the Gardens was therefore very difficult.”
