Hamilton Gardens Roundabout

“Hungerford Terrace is the main entrance to Hamilton Gardens, a major Hamilton attraction (Hamilton Gardens attract over 600,000 visitors and more than 1,000 events are held there every year).  The entrance is at a cross-roads intersection with State Highway One (Cobham Drive) and Galloway Street.  Cobham Drive carries in excess of 28,000 vehicles per day and has two traffic lanes in each direction, with an 80 kph speed limit.  Access to the Gardens was therefore very difficult.”

Quality Consents and Licensing processes through innovative use of Service Oriented Architecture

“It is essential for the Wellington City Council regulatory services that properties can be readily and accurately identified, and relevant business matters and documents linked to each property. Once linked, business matters and documents must be simple to access at any time via common property details such as address, legal description, Certificate of Title reference, map of geographic spatial location.  The Building Consents and Licensing Services Business Unit (BCLS) of the Wellington City Council uses five expert systems to carry out the regulatory services and manage property information. The five expert systems are dedicated to managing key information sets.”
