Hutt City Council - "The Business and Community Portal, 2006 Implementation".

HuttCity.com is a portal website that hosts an unlimited number of independently designed and operated sub-sites. The HuttCity.com project is about getting community groups and small businesses involved in using the internet for communicating and doing business by offering free web space and site management tools. The target group is not necessarily familiar with technology and the sites are likely to be their first web presence.

Western Bay of Plenty District Council - Omokoroa Focus

Sleepy little Omokoroa began to grow. In the 1990s, between 20 to 25 new homes were built annually – a growth rate of approximately four per cent, but that rate is constantly increasing and is predicted to swell from its present official population of 2,205(Census 2006) to 8,400 in 20 years’ time.  As residential development crept across more and more farmland, as harbour waters showed evidence of contamination and as land stability in Omokoroa was threatened by septic tank seepage and stormwater, the Western Bay of Plenty District Council recognised the need for a community wastewater scheme.
