Dunedin Chinese Garden
"In 1997 a small group of Dunedin’s Chinese residents began meeting to discuss and plan a major event for the city’s sesqui-centennial celebrations in 1998. Out of their enthusiasm came the idea to create a more permanent recognition and lasting reminder of the Chinese link with Dunedin, a city, more than any other in New Zealand, associated with Chinese immigration. This group formed the Dunedin Chinese Gardens Trust. Dunedin’s Chinese sister city, Shanghai, enthusiastically endorsed the concept of a Dunedin Chinese Garden. As the project developed, the level of liaison with Shanghai increased to the point where Shanghai committed itself to the project’s successful completion through major contributions to the Garden of significantly discounted design and construction work, and the provision of authentic materials – all being pre-fabricated in Shanghai before shipment to Dunedin in June 2007, where it was erected by Chinese artisans.”

Hastings District Papakainga Development Guide - A Collaboration between Te Puni Kokiri, Te Kooti Whenua Maori and the Hastings District Council
"Since 1997 the Hastings District Council has sought to provide the ability for papakainga development to occur on Maori Land However the Hastings District Council, Maori Land Court and Te Puni Kokiri were in a pattern of separate service delivery to Maori land owners. The result was confusion for landowners with aspirations to develop papakainga. Only three papakainga had been approved Maori land in the District comprising 8% of the district. Potential applicants were ‘going in circles’ between the Council and the Court without a clear way forward. The aim of the project was for the Council, the Maori Land Court and Te Puni Kokiri to work together to create a clear pathway for those wishing to undertake papakainga development.”

Coromandel Peninsula Blueprint

“The Coromandel Peninsula has undergone a period of rapid growth, culminating in a summer season which sees 140,000 people pour into the district. Planning and statutory authorities need to be well informed if they are to make the best possible long-term decisions. Agencies need to work together if they are to meet community expectations, avoid ‘consultation fatigue’, ensure sustainable solutions and align plans. The Blueprint project will help different agencies agree long-term planning goals that will shape and influence their own plans well into the future.”

Waikato Regional Transportation Model (WRTM)
" The Waikato Region is part of a Golden Triangle that linking with Auckland and Bay of Plenty Regions. This economic powerhouse generates over 45% of the nations GDP and has 46% of the national population. For the Waikato Region this means large inter-regional movements of people and freight, and the Waikato is expecting its freight volume to double by 2020. The Waikato Region’s answer to these issues has been to create a single transportation model, under one management structure, available to all Local Government and Transport Agencies in the Waikato Region. The Waikato Regional Transportation Model (WRTM) is a shared transport modeling resource being developed and implemented by Local Authority Shared Services Ltd (LASS) across the Waikato Region.”
Auckland City Council ITC Hosting Services

"The aim was to enhance the existing highly successful regional shared service initiative being provided by Auckland City Council’s ITC group for eLGAR, a consortium of the libraries of five of the local authorities in the Greater Auckland Region (Auckland City, Manukau, North Shore, Waitakere and Rodney). The consortium’s biggest project has been the installation of shared library management software (LMS) and the associated hardware. In December 2006, a review identified opportunities for service improvements one of which was that ITC’s Hosting Support arrangement be extended to include the LMS system support function."

Those living there and those visiting need services, such as water, power, sewerage and roading and the Milford community has a complicated infrastructural set-up…. A more united management of the community, however, had to happen because of Milford’s global reputation - Milford Sound is important to Southland and to New Zealand, even if only economics is considered. …. Thus the Milford Community Trust was established in 2007"

ministries and officials.”

“Team Taranaki” and the World Cup Triathlon series
“Historically, the region and district have not been major players in the New Zealand major events market. The response to this has been the ultra-successful Team Taranaki model, in which numerous organisations combine resources, experience and commitment to secure and successfully host major events within the region. In recent years, the Team Taranaki model has ensured a regular stream of major musical and sporting events, including concerts by major artists such as Elton John, Michael Crawford and R.E.M., festivals such as WOMAD and G-TARanaki, and the annual New Zealand leg of the World Cup Triathlon series. The New Zealand leg of the World Cup Triathlon series has been successfully held in New Plymouth since 2005 with the next race due for April 2009.”
Christchurch City Council

Safer Students Campaign
"In August 2007, a PhD student at Canterbury University wrote to the Christchurch Mayor, the Human Rights Commission, and several other organisations describing her experience of racial harassment in the city. This triggered a meeting of staff members from Christchurch City Council, the University of Canterbury, the Human Rights Commission, and the NZ Police (Canterbury Branch). Concern was expressed about a perceived increase in anecdotal reporting of incidents of racial / cultural harassment experienced by tertiary students, and led to an ongoing collaboration between staff members from the above institutions; later the group was joined by Te Runanga o Ngāi Tahu, CPIT and Lincoln University. The outcome to the project was that students would feel safe in Christchurch, with the harassment seriously reduced."
