Moving Forward Together. Improving Social Well-Being in Hamilton
Under the Hamilton City Council’s strategic framework, an invitation went out late in 2006to 12 organisations, to come together to build a shared vision and plan of action for improving some pressing social issues in the city. Nine months later and they have collaboratively given birth to a City Social Well-Being Strategy.

Economic Sustainability – More than Just the Financials

One of the key messages from the 2003-04 Taranaki community outcomes process was that the community’s foremost issue for action was the economy. The outcomes process also identified skill shortages as worth separate attention. A multi-agency approach to overseas recruiting, regional marketing, local training needs assessment, and communication with private sector employers is underway.

Sustainability in the Organisational Context
