International Leading Practices Symposium

The 2010 International Leading Practices Symposium will be held in Rotorua on 22 and 23 April 2010.  Further news will be poster here as it becomes available.

About the Symposium

The Symposium is undertaken jointly by ICMA (USA) SOLGM (NZ) and LGMA (Aust).  It has been held every second year since 2002.  The first was held in Sydney, the second (2004) was in Melbourne, and the third was held in Rotorua in 2006.  The most recent symposium took place On the Gold Coast during May 2008.

The objective of the symposium is to stimulate innovation and excellence in local government management by providing highlighting cases of leading practice from different countries across a range of subject areas.

2008 Symposium - Gold Coast, Queensland 

The symposium was held on 29 and 30 May 2008 on the Gold Coast.  The symposium featured case studies from Australia, New Zealand, United States, South Korea, Canada and the United Kingdom.  To access the written case study write-ups click here.
