Real Service Real Time New Plymouth District

Real Service Real Time — New Plymouth District Council, New Zealand

The potential that new technologies offer for improvements in services to the public can be easy to see but harder to realise effectively. New Plymouth District Council’s (Pop 70,000) Real Service Real Time has proven a real winner, producing spectacular gains in the management of the maintenance of water, wastewater and sewerage systems. The solution deployed integrates a range of technologies, systems, data and communication tools to create a single seamless and efficient way to monitor and manage performance accurately. This technologically innovative system has increased customer service levels significantly, enabled efficient contract management and is reducing lifecycle costs – through less administration/overhead cost and the provision of better input into lifecycle analysis for future decisions.
