Shared Services Across Local Government Conference


The Shared Services Across Local Government Conference was held in Wellington on 16 and 17 April 2007. 

The overarching objective for the Conference was to promote the sharing of knowledge and learning across the local government sector (at officer, elected member and key stakeholder levels) about the design and implementation of shared services arrangements, spanning a wide range of local authority services and issues.  

The conference was presented jointly by and INGENIUM,

and supported by LGNZ, ALGIM and OPUS.

 

The principle sponsor for the event was Civic Assurance  

and workshop streams were sponsored by Brookfields Lawyers, Infratrain New Zealand, Duffill Watts Consulting Group and Toovey Eaton & MacDonald.

The conference included a series of plenary sessions on aspects of shared services, and 20 case studies of shared services arrangements were work-shopped in 5 streams.  In addition write-ups of the case studies were developed.
