Role of Working Party

The purpose of the Strategic Planning Leadership Group (SPLG) is to provide assistance to the local government sector in achieving high standards of integrated policy development, planning, and reporting, in order to achieve the underlying sustainable development objectives of the Local Government Act 2002 (LGA).   

The terms of Reference for the Working Party were approved by the SOLGM Executive Committee in June 2007.  Access the Terms of Reference >>>>.  The SPWP met for the first time on 10 August 2007.

The members of the Working Party are:

Meetings

The Working Party meets at interval of approximately 3 months.  The most recent meeting was on 17 September 2008.  The Wokring Party has not met over this period becuase of the committments of its members to the development of their own council's LTCCPs.
